About Us

Jal Agro pioneered the exotic vegetables market in Mumbai nearly 60 years ago.

The journey began in the year 1945-46 when Pune-based farmer Arjunrao Ladkat started cultivating English vegetables (as they were called back then) at the request of his British employers after his retirement from the Royal Indian Air Force.

Having evolved from cultivation to trading, Jal Agro today supplies over 30 different varieties of exotic vegetables and herbs to restaurants, hotels, ship chandlers and caterers across Mumbai.

The Team

Jitendra Arjunrao Ladkat- Director

Having lent the company his name, Jitendra Ladkat has worked relentlessly for 41 years to strengthen Jal Agro and enhance consumer experience.
